The Brave Warrior Project is on a mission to eliminate barriers to treatment, health, wellness and support for children with illness or special needs in small town communities.

Our Families & Warriors are Our Why!

Living in a small town can provide many challenges and barriers with care and support for children with chronic illness, cancer, and disabilities.

  • Families often have to drive 2+ hours for care and therapies.

  • It is often recommended to families to move for services.

  • We have limited resources.

  • When a child is diagnosed with cancer in our area, families must up root to Seattle where they spend months to over a year so their child can receive their treatment

  • Often times there are long waitlists for our children to receive therapies locally such as Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Physical therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, etc.

  • The Brave Warrior Project has helped eliminate those barriers by developing programs and providing opportunities for our kids and families.

What Our Families are Saying

When we came home from Seattle, The Brave Warrior Project warrior box was here. We felt so loved and not alone.
— Judy
In our most difficult season The Brave Warrior Project has been there for our family both financially and emotionally. Our son, Nathaniel, was one of the recipients of the Santa fundraiser in 2017. The financial assistance we received allowed me to stay home to care for my son as we endured several hospital stays and inpatient appointments over in Seattle.
— Hannah
The Brave Warrior Project is such an asset to our community. Not only does it understand the needs of special children, but it develops mutually beneficial partnerships between families, community members and organizations.
— Beth
My family has been so blessed by The Brave Warrior Project. They have provided opportunities for my son to explore his community in a welcoming way during Sensory Day at the Station, pictures with Santa, and, for the first time, Family portraits. Thank you BWP for all you do.
— Shannon
