She is very passionate about helping other children and their families who are diagnosed with debilitating diagnoses.
Jill Stephens has lived in the Wenatchee Valley for 36 years. She is married with two kids. She has lived in the valley for most of her life. Her son was diagnosed with T-Cell ALL leukemia at the age of 5. His treatment lasted 3 ½ years, including the standard chemotherapy and radiation as well as two months in the ICU with complications. He is now 11 and doing great!
It is beyond difficult to be swept away to Seattle Children’s Hospital where you are forced to live away from your home for an extended amount of time and faced with many unknowns – the biggest being your own child’s well-being. During the Stephens's journey they were grateful for all the support from our amazing community. Through the Brave Warrior Project, I’m honored to be able to “pay it forward” and support families, both financially and emotionally, that find themselves in similar situations.
