Pediatric Cancer Support Group

We have posted numerous times about the importance of support.  We feel social support is an important aspect to help the healing process.  The emotional toll Pediatric Cancer can cause to a family unit is indescribable.  Families are separated for close to a year or sometimes longer.  The Post Traumatic Stress that comes after completion of therapy can become very overwhelming.  Mothers often times report, that if their child becomes sick after treatment they are flooded with flashbacks and fear that their child has relapsed.  We here at The Brave Warrior Project are focused on health and wellness for our children that have battled cancer and are currently battling cancer.  We are focused on this for not only the child but the family.  We are able to offer 2 free counseling sessions per month with our very own LMHC.   These counseling sessions will be limited to 1 per family per calendar year.  We have also started a support group the first Monday of every month at 5:30 pm.  This support group is for moms or dads that have had children that have suffered from this horrible disease.   It is an open door policy.  It is a way for parents to connect with others that have gone through this journey.  Feel free to email The Brave Warrior Project at bwarriorproject@gmail.com with any questions.

Monthly support groups will be held the first Monday of every month. Location for the monthly support group is;

1720 5th St. Suite I
